Galleries from more than 40 countries exhibit at Art Basel Miami Beach, held at the Miami Beach Convention Center, 1901 Convention Center Drive. Art Basel, founded in Basel in 1970, opened this show in 2002 as its first edition outside Switzerland, and it bills it as the premier art show of the Americas. Invitation-only VIP preview days come first. The public gets Friday through Sunday, 11am to 6pm each day. Other fairs and gallery shows run across the city the same week. Tickets are sold online through Art Basel's ticket shop. All sales are final, so settle your dates before you buy.
