Junior Orange Bowl Parade
Miracle Mile, Coral Gables, FL 33134
About this happenin
The Junior Orange Bowl Committee stages its holiday parade on Coral Gables' Miracle Mile on a Sunday evening in December. It is the founding event of the Junior Orange Bowl International Youth Festival. Marching bands and drum corps, community floats, horse units and motorized vehicles come down the street with more than 2,000 young people from community groups, and Santa arrives at the end. Watching is free from anywhere along the route. Recent routes started at Alhambra Circle and Ponce de Leon Boulevard, then turned onto Miracle Mile to finish at Biltmore Way by City Hall. Streets close in stages starting in the morning, so arrive on foot or use the side streets and the garages beside Miracle Mile. The organiser also sells tickets to a VIP hospitality area with grandstand seating and live music before the parade, food and drink included.
More in December: 3 other Miami events.
