Miami Beach steps off its Veterans Day Parade at 11:11 a.m. every November 11, the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, a time first meant to mark the armistice that ended World War I. It starts at 5th Street and runs up Ocean Drive to 15th Street. The city bills it as the largest parade of the day in South Florida. Veteran and military groups share the route with marching bands, musical and dance performers, local businesses and community organizations. Participation started at about 50 people and has passed 1,000. The 2025 program included a presentation of the colors by the Miami Beach Police and Fire honor guards, a moment of silence, a 21-gun salute and Taps, and at noon the festivities moved to Lummus Park for a demonstration by an all-veteran parachute team over South Beach.
