Oktoberfest at Old World Village
7561 Center Ave, Huntington Beach, CA 92647
About this happenin
Orange County's Oktoberfest has run at Old World in Huntington Beach since 1977. It lasts about two months, with the biergarten open Wednesday through Sunday from mid-September into early November. German bands play the festival stages. The grills turn out German food, and Old World says its bratwurst was voted the best in California. The taps pour imported German beer, with games and competitions between sets. Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturday daytime and Sundays are all ages, with anyone under 21 alongside a parent or guardian, and kids 12 and under get in free. Friday nights and Saturday evenings are 21 and over, ID checked, no exceptions. Turn up in a dirndl or lederhosen during the first hour on a Friday or Sunday and you get in free. Buy online, because the door costs more, and leave the backpack at home: the clear bag policy is strict.
More in September: 9 other Los Angeles events.
