Long Beach Pride Parade
Ocean Blvd and Lindero Ave, Long Beach, CA
About this happenin
Long Beach has marched for Pride for more than 40 years, and the City of Long Beach now hosts the parade itself. It steps off from Ocean Boulevard and Lindero Avenue on a Sunday morning in May, with a 10 a.m. start, and heads west along Ocean Boulevard before turning onto Alamitos Avenue in downtown. More than 100 organizations, businesses and community groups take part with floats, vehicles and walking groups, and every parade names its own grand marshals. Watching from the curb is free. Parking goes away on Ocean Boulevard between Redondo and Atlantic avenues from 4 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the streets close in stages from 6 a.m., so leave the car well away from the route.
More in May: 12 other Los Angeles events.
