Pasadena Heritage gives eight days each October to the Arts and Crafts houses the city is known for. The preservation nonprofit counts Craftsman Week among its signature annual programs, and the draw is the chance to get inside places rarely open to the public, Greene and Greene houses usually among them. Around the house tours sit walking tours of Craftsman neighborhoods, visits behind the scenes at a stained glass studio and a lighting factory, conversations with the craftspeople who restore the woodwork, and a few evening receptions in historic homes. Each event is ticketed on its own. Tour groups are kept small, and house tours have sold out before the week began. Some include a catered lunch or a reception.
