Alhambra Lunar New Year Festival

Alhambra has held its Lunar New Year Festival on Main Street every year since 1993, for a single day around the holiday. The city and the Alhambra Chamber of Commerce put it on, and the organisers describe it as rooted in Asian American and Pacific Islander heritage. Dragon and lion dancers share the main stage with Chinese and Vietnamese folk dance and a candy sculptor working live. Artisan Alley sells work by San Gabriel Valley makers, and food trucks park among the local vendors. Kids get their own zone with games. Near the booths, a cherry blossom display is set up for photos.
