About

Moose and beavers turn up at Oxbow Bend in Wyoming's Grand Teton National Park, and bison and pronghorn graze around Mormon Row from spring into fall. Give bears and wolves 100 yards, and carry bear spray where you can reach it anywhere in the park. The park climbs from 6,320 feet on the floor of Jackson Hole to 13,770 feet at the top of the Grand Teton. Most roads and facilities run about May through September. From November through April, Teton Park Road is closed to cars between Taggart Lake Trailhead and Signal Mountain Lodge, and in winter that stretch is groomed for skiing and snowshoeing.
