About this happenin

Tampa Bay's largest Juneteenth celebration fills Raymond James Stadium, turning the Bucs' field into a free block party of DJs, dancers, food trucks and vendors. R.O.C. the Block began as a 2021 Super Bowl weekend pop-up that curator Bolaji Ajike staged so small Black-owned businesses could vend near the stadium instead of being priced out of it. The acronym stands for Reconditioning Our Communities, and the program keeps that in view: an opening libation ceremony, remarks from local historians and county commissioners, community workouts, dance sets, and local and touring musicians playing into the night. Around the stage sit a KidZone, an Art District, community resource booths and long rows of retail and food vendors. Know before you go: Admission is free for the community. The festival day is the Saturday of Juneteenth week, and past editions have run from mid-afternoon until roughly 9:30 at night. Ticketed companion events, including a Cultural Couture Ball and a TopGolf outing, are sold separately by the organizer.
