About this happenin
Oldsmar Days & Nights fills R.E. Olds Park with a carnival midway, classic cars and a Saturday parade, three days of Classic Florida on Upper Tampa Bay. The Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce and the City of Oldsmar have run it since 1967, which makes it the town's longest-standing celebration. The theme is not decoration: Oldsmar was founded in 1916 by Ransom E. Olds, the man behind Oldsmobile, and Saturday afternoon brings a dedicated Oldsmobile show alongside an open class that turns up Metropolitans and hot rods. The parade moves through the heart of town on Saturday morning. Sunday adds a Jeep show and Wing Wars, a wing cook-off among area restaurants. Live bands, food trucks and a vendor market run the whole weekend. Know before you go: entry to the park is free. Hours usually run Friday evening from 5pm, Saturday from 11am to 10pm, and Sunday from 11am to 6pm. The carnival and the waterfront setting make it an easy stop with kids.
