Madeira Beach fills ROC Park with more than 150 vendors for two December days, then launches a parade of lit boats from the same seawall on Saturday night. Friday closes with fireworks at 8pm. Saturday afternoon builds toward the Festival of Lights Boat Parade, which leaves ROC Park at 6pm and threads the finger canals toward John's Pass. In between there is a beer garden pouring 3 Daughters, food and drink vendors, live entertainment all day, a kids zone and free photos with Santa. The whole thing is a Gulf coast take on a Christmas market, palm trees and inflatable Santas standing in for snow. Know before you go: admission is free, Friday 5pm to 9pm and Saturday 2pm to 8pm, at 200 Rex Place. A free shuttle runs to the site. Bring a chair or blanket for the parade, and both cash and card. No pets other than service animals, and no coolers or outside food and drink.
