Holiday Lights in the Gardens
12520 Ulmerton Road, Largo, FL 33774
About this happenin
More than a million lights take over the Florida Botanical Gardens in Largo every holiday season, turning the county's public gardens into a walk-through winter display of lit bridges, snowflake tunnels and trees wrapped root to crown. Laser projections fill the open lawns, live entertainment plays nightly, and holiday concessions line the route. Volunteers have built the display for more than two decades, and what the run raises goes back into garden upkeep and children's education. Know before you go: gates open at 5:30 PM and close at 9:30 PM every night of the run. Admission is a suggested $10 donation per person over 12 at the entry gate, taken by cash, card, PayPal or Apple Pay, and you may enter without donating. Two free lots serve the gardens, at 12520 Ulmerton Road and 12211 Walsingham Road, with accessible parking at the Walsingham entrance. Paths are paved or hard packed, so strollers and wheelchairs roll fine, a calming tent is set up for neurodivergent visitors, and well behaved dogs are welcome on a six foot leash.
