Gulfport Pride
Beach Blvd. S., Gulfport, FL 33707
About this happenin
Gulfport closes Beach Boulevard to traffic for a Pride street festival that runs noon to 7 p.m., with vendor tents, live music and drag beside the water. Gulfport Pride began in 2021 and incorporated as a nonprofit in 2023, and it has put more than $30,000 back into local charities since. Organizers count somewhere between 1,500 and 5,000 people across the day, which is small enough that the independently owned shops downtown fill the surrounding week with their own Pride events. President Linda Breen describes it as neighborhood Pride rather than a corporate spectacle. Know before you go: the parade now runs on its own day rather than during the festival, a deliberate change, so check both dates before you plan. It steps off at the Gulfport Recreation Center, 5730 Shore Blvd. S., moves along Shore Boulevard and up Beach Boulevard, crosses 28th Avenue S. and ends at the Gulfport Public Library, followed by a Pride flag raising at Beach Boulevard and 28th Avenue S.
