Four days of independent film across Tampa at the start of April, run by the Tampa Film Institute since 2006 and hitting its 20th edition in 2027. The slate is features, documentaries, shorts and music videos, with world and Florida premieres in the mix, so you're watching things before anyone has told you what to think of them. Filmmakers come with their films and take the stage afterward, which is the whole difference between this and a Tuesday at the multiplex. Screenings spread across AMC houses in the city, so pick two or three titles across the weekend instead of camping in one theater.
