For close to two weeks each January, Osceola Heritage Park fills with roughly 4,500 collector cars and Mecum sells them one after another from a red-carpeted arena, bid spotters hollering down the aisles. What crosses the block ranges from winged Mopars and Ferraris to Broncos, air-cooled Porsches and oddball Japanese imports, plus Road Art, Mecum's name for the vintage signs and petroliana that run in their own earlier session most mornings. Spectators do not need a bidder credential. The real pleasure is the tent lots, where consignments sit hood up with their tags in the windshield and you can spend hours before you ever reach a seat. Know before you go: Osceola Heritage Park, 1875 Silver Spur Lane, Kissimmee. Regular spectator admission runs $30 for one day and $75 for three, before tax and fees, with 25 percent off tickets bought online in advance and free entry for children 12 and under. Seating nearest the block is reserved for sellers and bidders. The park is cashless.
