Fighter jets, warbirds and parachute teams work the sky above Orlando Sanford International Airport when the Air Dot Show tour makes its weekend stop on the north edge of the metro. Military demonstration teams anchor a line-up that also draws civilian aerobatic pilots, jet teams and jumpers, all of it called live over the public address so you know what is climbing away and why. Seating is open along the flight line, and the roar carries well past the fence. Know before you go: gates open at 9 am both days and the aerial performances run from about noon to 4 pm. Tickets must be bought in advance online or by phone, and every general admission order includes a complimentary parking pass. General admission starts around $32 for adults, with preferred seating, lawn boxes and a Flight Line Club upgrade sold separately; children five and under are free. Bring a chair, sunscreen and ear protection. Coolers, outside food, tents and pets are out, though one sealed liter of water per person is fine.
