About this happenin
NYC Winter Jazzfest packs a week of jazz into clubs and halls across Manhattan and Brooklyn each January. Brice Rosenbloom started it in 2005 as a one-day show in a single room, and it now centers on a marathon: on a Friday and a Saturday night, one wristband gets you into every participating venue from early evening into the small hours. Sets overlap and rooms fill, so the festival posts live capacity updates online and tells anyone chasing one act to arrive early. Age limits come from each venue, 18 and over at some and 21 and over at others. A recent edition spread across 24 stages and more than 140 groups, and the festival has booked artists like Jon Batiste and Samara Joy early in their careers.
