About this happenin

Most nights of BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn cost nothing. The summer concert series at the Lena Horne Bandshell in Prospect Park gave its first show in 1979, and BRIC asks you to RSVP for the free ones. A few benefit nights are ticketed and sold separately. The season opens in early June and runs through the summer, with a different genre or world culture on stage each night. BRIC says upwards of 250,000 people come each summer. Gates open an hour before showtime, and shows go ahead rain or shine. Lawn chairs and picnic blankets are allowed, and beer and wine are sold on site. There is no designated parking at the bandshell, but a free bike self-park sits close by.
