CommunityIsrael Day on Fifth
Ticketed

A year after the Stonewall Riots, on June 27, 1970, the Christopher Street Liberation Day Committee held the first NYC Pride March. Heritage of Pride, a nonprofit, took over the planning in 1984 and still produces it. The march now moves down Fifth Avenue on a Sunday at the end of June, and the start and finish points shift from year to year. The organizer counts more than 2 million spectators and 75,000 marchers, with marching contingents and grand marshals in the line. Watching is free. So are PrideFest, the street fair held the same day, and Youth Pride, a block party for LGBTQIA+ teens and their allies, both run by the same organizer.
More in June: 14 other New York events.
