About this happenin

Macy's Flower Show turns the main floor of the Herald Square flagship, 151 West 34th Street, into a spring garden. Thousands of flowers fill the aisles and the store windows, and each year has a new theme. Admission is free during store hours. The show started in California in 1946 as a way to sell fragrance and came to Herald Square in 1975, so it has spent more than fifty springs in one building. In recent years a beauty brand has partnered with the store and taken over part of it with a fragrance installation. The dates move. Lately the show has opened anywhere from late March to late April and stayed for two to three weeks.
