About this happenin
The Shed in Hudson Yards turns into an art fair each May when Frieze New York moves in. Around 70 galleries from around the world set up booths for five days, in a fair that launched in 2012. Galleries bring solo, two-artist and group presentations, and the Focus section gives galleries founded in the last 12 years a subsidized rate to show one artist. Performance-led projects and collaborations with nonprofit organizations run through the fair, so some of what you see is happening in front of you rather than hanging on a wall. The Shed is at 545 West 30th Street, a short walk from the Hudson Yards subway station.
More in May: 10 other New York events.
