About this happenin
Lincoln Center turns its Upper West Side campus over to Summer for the City every year, with hundreds of free and Choose-What-You-Pay events on the plazas and inside the halls. It started in 2022, and most of it is free. Social Dance nights on The Dance Floor begin with a lesson from an instructor. On other nights the same floor becomes a Silent Disco with DJs. The David Rubenstein Atrium has free jazz and comedy all summer. Indoor concerts at David Geffen Hall, Alice Tully Hall and the David H. Koch Theater are mostly Choose-What-You-Pay, with no day-of general admission. At free events more than half the capacity is kept for walk-ups, first come, first served. Many events on the plazas and in the Atrium also offer a free Fast Track reservation, released every Monday at noon for that week's events, and Lincoln Center suggests arriving an hour before show time even with one.
