Juneteenth NY's parade marches through East New York, Brooklyn, on the Saturday of Juneteenth weekend. It has stepped off from Gotham Health on Pitkin Avenue and ended at Gershwin Park, also called Linden Park, at 871 Vermont Street. The festival runs in the park through the day, with live performers, a fashion show, vendors and a stage for community partners. A Family Zone has free activities for children, and kids' soccer clinics are on the program. The organizers bill it as Brooklyn's global freedom festival and say they want it to help Black-owned businesses grow. A gala and a virtual summit come in the days before.
