Saints & Sinners LGBTQ+ Literary Festival
214 Royal Street, New Orleans, LA 70130
About this happenin
Each spring the Hotel Monteleone in the French Quarter hosts Saints & Sinners, a three-day LGBTQ+ literary festival that runs as a program of the Tennessee Williams & New Orleans Literary Festival. It began in 2003 as an HIV/AIDS awareness project built around writers. The weekend is a long run of reading series and panel discussions led by writers, editors, publishers and agents, plus craft sessions taught by working authors. Sessions start in the morning and go into the evening, in the hotel's meeting rooms and a rooftop space. A welcome party opens the weekend on Friday night and a closing reception ends it. Weekend registration covers the main events, and single-day and student passes are sold too. A guest can join the parties for an extra fee. The hotel holds a limited room block for attendees. Pitch sessions with publishers need pre-registration by email.
More in March: 14 other New Orleans events.
