About this happenin
The Crescent City Farmers Market meets every Sunday, all year, from 8 am to noon in the City Putt parking lot at City Park in New Orleans. Market Umbrella, the nonprofit that has run the markets since 1995, draws more than 70 local producers across its three days, fishers included. Stalls sell produce, meat, seafood, dairy, baked goods and ready-to-eat food. Every vendor takes cash or the market's wooden tokens, which you buy at the Welcome Tent with a debit or credit card or an EBT card. SNAP dollars spent on fruit and vegetables are matched up to a per-visit cap, and the market's page lists the current limit. Park in the Tricentennial lot, or along Victory Avenue and Dreyfous Drive. The RTA 27 bus stops nearby. The same market also meets on Tuesday mornings at The Batture uptown and on Thursday afternoons at the Lafitte Greenway in Mid-City.
