About this happenin
Miami Salsa Congress is a salsa and bachata festival at the InterContinental Miami, the downtown waterfront hotel built around Henry Moore's sculpture The Spindle. Party rooms stay open until 5 a.m. Workshops fill the daytime from Friday to Sunday, and the international showcases take the evening before the rooms fill. By day there is a DJ pool party on the hotel deck, free for hotel guests while everyone else buys a day resort pass at the pool entrance. Kids get a pool party of their own and a Kids Experience on Sunday. One full pass covers the kick-off party, all the workshops, the showcases, the concerts and the nightly parties. In the bachata room, 11 p.m. is set aside for an hour of traditional bachata.
