About this happenin
Comic-Con International, the San Diego nonprofit behind Comic-Con, brings WonderCon to the Anaheim Convention Center each spring, a short walk from Disneyland. More than 900 exhibitors fill a 412,000-square-foot hall with comics, original art, toys and merchandise. Around the hall run movie and television presentations, panels with comics professionals, autograph sessions, games and portfolio reviews. The Masquerade is its costume competition. Artists' Alley, anime programming, food trucks and a Children's Film Festival round out the weekend. Badges are sold ahead through Comic-Con International, and three-day badges have been discounted for a limited early bird period after sales open. Cosplayers turn up in force, and big group shoots gather on the fountain plaza out front.
