Masked luchadores wrestle every hour at Fiesta Broadway, the free street festival that opens Los Angeles's Cinco de Mayo season on the last Sunday of April. Bands play the stages through the day, and vendors stretch along four blocks of Broadway in Downtown selling Latin food and goods. The organizer counts more than 55,000 people at each recent edition. Metro is the easy way in, with Historic Broadway Station on the A and E lines among the nearest stops. Coolers and chairs aren't allowed. The only alcohol is in the beer garden, where anyone 21 or older with ID can buy up to three drinks.
