626 Night Market

About this happenin

The 626 Night Market started in the San Gabriel Valley in 2012 and still bills itself as the original Asian night market. Its home is Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, for a weekend in July and another in August, open Friday through Sunday from 3 to 11 pm. The organisers set out to bring the crowded, communal feel of the night markets across Asia to Southern California, so the food stalls are the draw, beside merchandise vendors with ideas rooted in Asian culture. Art and live entertainment run alongside. The market also sets up for a May weekend at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, and for one in Pleasanton in the Bay Area.

More in July: 9 other Los Angeles events.
