About this happenin

One ticket gets you into two shows for five days in late January at Reliant Center in Reliant Park, Houston: the Houston Auto Show and the Houston Boat Show. The Houston Auto Dealers Association, which represents franchised new-car dealers across greater Houston, produces the auto show, and it has been held at the park more than 40 times. More than 500 vehicles are on display, electric cars and trucks among them, and brand experts on the floor explain each model without the pressure of a sale. Some brands offer test drives, and Jeep and RAM run ride-alongs. A remote-controlled race car track is set up on the floor too. The boat side brings more than 500 boats and 300 exhibiting brands, plus personal watercraft, fishing gear, ATVs and UTVs. Anglers give live demonstrations in a 5,000-gallon fishing tank.

More in January: 3 other Houston events.
