Fiestas Patrias International Parade
Dallas St & Bagby St, Houston, TX 77002
About this happenin
Downtown Houston's Fiestas Patrias International Parade steps off from Dallas and Bagby each September. It honors the independence commemorations of Mexico, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Chile and Belize, and every community is welcome to march. Judge Armando V. Rodriguez founded Fiestas Patrias Houston in 1969. The group calls itself one of the city's longest-standing Hispanic cultural traditions, and for more than 55 years it has brought families, businesses, schools, cultural groups and community leaders together. The route has run east on Dallas to Louisiana, north to Walker, west to Smith, south to Lamar and west on Lamar back to Bagby.
