About this happenin
Reunion Tower in downtown Dallas sets off its Lone Star NYE fireworks and drone show at 11:59 p.m. every December 31. More than 5,000 pyrotechnic effects go up from the tower itself, and the drones fly alongside them. Watching is free, but not from the tower grounds. The GeO-Deck and the lawn are closed to spectators unless you are a guest of the Hyatt Regency Dallas or Crown Block, so people spread out to Trinity Groves, the Ronald Kirk Bridge, Riverfront Boulevard and North Beckley Avenue, wherever the tower is in sight. Reunion Boulevard, Hotel Street and the streets around them start closing at about 7:30 p.m. The show is streamed live on Reunion Tower's YouTube channel and social pages, and a local radio station simulcasts the music.
More in December: 13 other Dallas-Fort Worth events.
