About this happenin

Klyde Warren Park in downtown Dallas lights the Mayor's Tree in early December at its Tree Lighting Celebration, a free family afternoon that kicks off the holiday season. Santa sits for free photos while Mrs. Claus reads stories. Frosty and Rudolph turn up among the stilt walkers, and there is face painting and live dance on the stage.

More in December: 13 other Dallas-Fort Worth events.
