Chestnut Square Holiday Tour of Homes

About this happenin

Chestnut Square's Holiday Tour of Homes opens historic McKinney houses, decorated for Christmas, for a self-guided walk on a weekend in December. It began in 1973, when a group of women came together to save two historic homes from demolition, and Chestnut Square Heritage Village grew out of that. Tickets still support its preservation and education work. Homes are open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can start at any house on the map and pick up your wristband there. A digital map arrives by email 48 hours before, and a printed program with a map comes with the ticket, along with bonus property tours. The Breakfast, Tea and Tour option starts with breakfast at the Bevel House at 10 a.m.

More in December: 13 other Dallas-Fort Worth events.
