Arlington Holiday Lights Parade
100 W Abram St, Arlington, TX 76010
About this happenin
Lit-up floats roll down West Abram Street in Downtown Arlington on a Saturday evening in December for the Arlington Holiday Lights Parade, between Levitt Pavilion and Cooper Street. It starts at 6 p.m., and watching from the curb is free. Arlington Christmas Parade Inc., a volunteer group, ran it for more than two decades before handing it to Downtown Arlington. Businesses, schools, nonprofits and community groups cover their floats and vehicles in holiday lights. Sponsored entries add professionally built floats and big balloons, and local marching bands play along the route. Arlington's tree lighting comes first, on the Levitt Pavilion lawn at 7 p.m. on a Thursday in early December. That night is also December First Thursdays, when more than 25 downtown businesses and cultural spots put on holiday programming.
More in December: 13 other Dallas-Fort Worth events.
