About this happenin

Taste of Greektown closes Halsted Street from Adams to Van Buren for a late-August weekend, and the neighborhood's Greek restaurants cook in the street. Several are family businesses that have been open in Greektown for 25 to 40 years. There is live music, Greek dancing, shopping and things for kids to do. The Greektown Chamber of Commerce presents it, with support from Greektown SSA #16. Hours run 4 to 10 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free, and the Chamber asks for a suggested donation.
