Taste of Randolph
900 W Randolph St, Chicago, IL 60607
About this happenin
For three days in June, Taste of Randolph takes over Randolph Street in Chicago's West Loop between Peoria and Racine, and getting in is free. Nobody asks for a donation at the gate either. The money comes from raffles and a silent auction, and every dollar goes to the West Loop Community Organization, the neighborhood's nonprofit. An online 50/50 raffle pays one winner half the cash collected, and a barrel raffle at the tent on Carpenter and Randolph draws winners on the hour. The street holds two stages and three days of music, with food and drink from local West Loop restaurants along the blocks. Friday runs 5 to 10 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday the gates open at noon and close at 10 p.m., and the kids zone opens an hour earlier, at 11 a.m.
More in June: 21 other Chicago events.
