The Lakeview East Festival of the Arts fills Broadway from Belmont to Hawthorne in Chicago's Lakeview East for a weekend in September. More than 150 juried artists sell original paintings, sculpture, photography, furniture and jewelry, at a wide range of prices. The Lakeview East Chamber of Commerce picks every artist, musician and vendor itself. Live music plays on two stages, and there are live demonstrations and local food along the street. The Kidzone has shows and hands-on activities for children on both days. Parking in Lakeview East is strictly enforced. Non-residents cannot park on residential streets after 6 pm, and a Cubs night game makes it harder still.
