The Glenwood Avenue Arts Fest fills the cobblestone blocks of Glenwood Avenue at Morse, in the Glenwood Avenue Arts District of Chicago's Rogers Park, on the third weekend in August. Volunteers run it, and donations keep it free. Friday evening opens with the Cobblestone Jam. On Saturday and Sunday the Artists' Market fills the street with more than 100 booths, where you buy handmade work from the people who made it, and there are open studios and art demonstrations around it. Outdoor stages carry free live music, and local merchants sell street food and craft beer. The district is home to two award-winning theaters, Lifeline Theatre and Rhapsody Theatre, and murals cover the elevated train embankments along it.
