On Thursday nights the Long Center's riverside lawn turns into a free outdoor concert with the downtown skyline as the backdrop, and KUTX 98.9 lines up local Austin bands you have probably heard on the radio. Know before you go: admission is free, and the show runs on the H-E-B Stage lawn, so bring a blanket or lawn chairs and settle in on the grass. RSVPs open Mondays at 10am on the Long Center site, and the week's artist is revealed Fridays on social. It is an all-ages, all-backgrounds crowd, welcoming for families. Parking and accessibility details are posted on the venue's directions page. The Drop-In runs Thursdays through August 14, and July 30 falls right in the middle of the run.
