Paramount Summer Classic Film Series
719 Congress Avenue, Austin, TX 78701
About this happenin
Austin's longest-running summer movie ritual returns with more than 90 classic films screened downtown, from Hitchcock nights to anniversary showings and animated family matinees. Know before you go: with the Paramount closed for its first restoration in nearly 50 years, films play at the State Theatre (719 Congress Avenue) and the Bullock Museum IMAX. Regular admission is $15 (including a $3 preservation fee), $11 for Film Fan Club members, and $9 for kids 12 and under at Family Series shows; a 10-ticket Flix-Tix pack runs $90. Start times range from 3 to 7:30 p.m. depending on the title. Parking is $6 at the 600 Congress garage with a voucher bought at the theatre, and free at the Bullock garage on IMAX nights. Family-friendly, and a real seat in a crowd beats streaming at home.
