Between Cleveland and Akron, the Towpath Trail in Cuyahoga Valley National Park follows the old Ohio & Erie Canal route for 19.5 flat miles. Underfoot it's crushed limestone, and at Beaver Marsh it becomes a boardwalk. The park has no camping, and several areas close at dusk, Brandywine Falls and the Ledges among them. The Brandywine Gorge Loop takes about an hour over 1.4 hilly, rocky miles around the gorge at the 65-foot falls. Its first boardwalk overlook is wheelchair accessible.
