Saguaro National Park wraps around Tucson in two desert districts, protecting the country's densest forests of the giant saguaro, the towering candelabra cactus that can climb 50 feet and live two centuries. Visit in cooler winter months, when the park doubles as a certified dark-sky place for stargazing.
