About this happenin
The Ocoee Music Festival brings two free days of live music to Bill Breeze Park on Starke Lake, with national headliners closing each night and fireworks. It began in 1994 as Ocoee Founders' Day, a small-town birthday party with walking tours and a chicken pilau lunch, and grew into one of Central Florida's largest free festivals before taking the music name in 2020. Around the main stage sit a carnival, a car show, a Saturday morning 5K, a marketplace of more than 25 booths and more than 15 food trucks and food booths. Know before you go: admission is free and no ticket is needed, though a Preferred Seating area is sold to the public. Friday music starts around 5:30 pm and builds to the headliner, while Saturday's local acts begin mid-afternoon. Bring a chair or blanket, but do not leave it unattended. Coolers are not allowed, and pets stay home unless they are licensed service animals. The city has moved the dates between spring and fall and skipped a year when budgets tightened, so confirm before planning.
