Enchanted: Forest of Light at Descanso Gardens

Enchanted: Forest of Light turns Descanso Gardens in La Canada Flintridge into an evening walk of about a mile, running from late November into early January. The route winds through the Ancient Forest, past stained-glass house sculptures and a field of glowing flowers called Flower Power, with a soundscape playing the whole way. Some pieces are interactive and some cycle through colors, so slow down. The ticket covers the evening only, and daytime garden admission is separate. Tickets cannot be refunded or rescheduled, and the show runs rain or shine. Nights get chilly, so Descanso recommends a coat. Parking is free. Hot drinks and snacks are sold on site, and the route works for strollers and wheelchairs. Descanso is cashless.
