About this happenin

HAAPIFEST, the Houston Asian American Pacific Islander Film Festival, screens more than 100 films over two weekends at the DoubleTree by Hilton Houston Westchase on Westpark Drive. OCA-Greater Houston started it in 2004. Most of the films also stream online for the length of the festival. After each shorts block, the filmmakers who came take questions from the audience. Houston and Texas filmmakers get showcases of their own, and a reception fills each late afternoon and early evening. Tickets are sold by film or shorts block, and there are one-day and all-access passes.
