Texas Storytelling Festival

About this happenin

The Tejas Storytelling Association fills the Denton Civic Center in Denton, Texas, with a long weekend of live storytelling at the Texas Storytelling Festival. Storytellers and story lovers have been gathering in Denton for more than four decades. Featured tellers give storytelling concerts. Around them run Ghost Tales and a Liars Contest, story swaps, a story slam and a poetry slam, workshops, music concerts and activities for young listeners. Some concerts, workshops and events move to the Emily Fowler Library and the Denton Woman's Club, which face each other across a parking lot on Oakland Street. A weekend pass covers the whole program. Single-event, one-day and workshop tickets are sold too, and some events are free. Parking is free at every location.

More in March: 6 other Dallas-Fort Worth events.
