Pride in Dallas Parade on Cedar Springs
Cedar Springs Rd, Dallas, TX 75219
About this happenin
Pride in Dallas holds its parade down Cedar Springs Road, through the Oak Lawn neighborhood of Dallas, on a Sunday in September. It steps off at 2 p.m. at Douglas and Cedar Springs and heads down the Strip to Oaklawn. The parade is free, with no tickets, and the route opens at noon. The organisers suggest being in place by 1 p.m. Pride in Dallas is a 100% volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit. On parade day the main judging stage is at Reagan, vendors line the route, and ADA viewing areas sit in front of Hunky's and near Reagan. A week of parties and performances up and down Cedar Springs leads into the parade. When the last entry crosses the finish at Oaklawn, the bars along the street, among them the Round-Up Saloon, S4, Sue Ellen's, Woody's and JR's, carry the party into the night.
