Floats fill Davis Street in Oak Cliff, Dallas, for Go Oak Cliff's Mardi Gras parade, which steps off at 1 p.m. on a Sunday shortly before Mardi Gras. The route starts at Nova Street near the Kessler Theater and runs down Davis. Go Oak Cliff bills it as the largest celebration of Mardi Gras in North Texas, and groups can sign up to enter a float. Arrive early for a spot along the route. Go Oak Cliff suggests coming by public transit, shared ride or bike. Side streets that are not permit-only are open for parking, apart from some near Bishop Arts, and there are lots at Kidd Springs Recreation Center on West Canty Street and at Bishop Avenue and 9th Street, plus the paid garage at Methodist Dallas Medical Center.
