Grapevine honors the men and women who have served in the U.S. armed forces with a parade on Historic Main Street and a fair for veterans, held on a Saturday in early November ahead of Veterans Day. The parade steps off at 10 a.m. from Main and West Hudgins streets and travels north along Main to East Wall Street. Parking is free throughout the Historic Main Street area. VFW Post 10454 Grapevine and the City of Grapevine host the Veterans Fair in the large public parking lot behind the Town Square Gazebo, 115 E. Worth Street, where more than 15 organizations explain the services and benefits open to veterans. That is the reason the organizers give for the whole day: to make sure veterans know what help exists, and that the community knows how to give it. The fair also has live music and military vehicles on view, with food from AMBUCS and the Elks Lodge.
